Christina Lewis is an entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist, ecosystem-builder, and writer who is passionate about using creativity and perseverance to empower people to live their best lives and be a positive force in the world. She is the Founder of Beatrice Advisors, as well as BFO21, her single family office, and Vice Chair of the Reginald F. Lewis Foundation. Christina is also the Executive Producer of "Why Should White Guys Have All the Fun?" (WSWG), a feature film based on the life of her father, Reginald F. Lewis.

Previously, Christina was Founder and Acting CEO of Giving Gap (formerly Give Blck) a nonprofit database of Black-Founded charities which she conceptualized in June 2020 and shepherded to becoming a nationally-recognized platform that has channeled millions of dollars to Black causes and receiving major grants from Microsoft, Ford Foundation, Gates Foundation and Goldman Sachs.

Christina’s work has been featured by the Obama Whitehouse, Inc., The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, PBS, and Fortune.

Christina graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in French and American History & Literature. She currently  lives in New York City with her husband and three wonderful children.

Meredith is the President and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Beatrice Advisors, bringing over two decades of experience in family office services, portfolio management, and investment research. She oversees investment strategies and asset allocation, optimizing client investments for performance and risk management. Meredith prioritizes client engagement, tailoring investment solutions to meet unique financial goals while emphasizing education and empowerment for informed decision-making.

Additionally, she expands Beatrice's investment opportunities by seeking innovative vehicles and cultivating relationships with top-tier partners, providing clients access to a wide range of asset classes. As a member of the Executive Management Committee, Meredith contributes to high-level decision-making and governance.

Prior to Beatrice, Meredith was a Partner at Seven Bridges Advisors, a New York-based private investment firm. As a founding member of the firm and the investment team, Meredith advised and managed portfolios, analyzed public and private investment strategies, implemented complex financial structures, and delivered sophisticated technology solutions to families of significant wealth.

Before joining Seven Bridges, Meredith worked in London for the Man Group, where she was part of the hedge fund risk management organization. Leveraging her technology background, she structured risk management solutions for sizable fund-of-funds, pension funds, and endowments globally. Meredith began her career in technology consulting, developing solutions for various investment banks and alternative investment firms.

Meredith was the recipient of the 2007 Women’s Bond Club Rising Star of New York award, which is given to women early in their investment careers who demonstrate leadership qualities and are expected to become future industry leaders. She serves as an advisor to families and non-profit investment committees and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Brown University.

Meredith lives in New York with her husband and four children.

Michael serves as the Managing Director and Head of Client Advisory at Beatrice Advisors, bringing over a decade of experience as a wealth advisor for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families. As a member of the leadership team and Executive Management Committee, he provides expertise on the company's development and management. Michael leads the Client Advisory Practice, overseeing client relationships with his team and enhancing the overall client experience. He collaborates closely with Meredith Bowen, President & CIO, to implement a customizable, single-family office-like approach that combines investment management with wealth advisory services. Michael has extensive expertise in liquidity planning for business owners, estate planning, risk management, and family governance.

Michael started his wealth management career as an advisor at Plante Moran Financial Advisors outside of Detroit, Michigan, one of the nation’s largest independent, registered investment advisors. Here, he spent time working with business owners and other ultra-high net worth individuals diving deep into planning surrounding trusts and wealth transfer strategies, an area where Michael has a particular interest and expertise. He then moved to New York City and joined the registered investment advisor Shufro Rose & Co. as Vice President & Financial Advisor working closely with high-net-worth individuals. In this role, he led the financial planning offering and quarterbacked the process with clients’ outside professionals including estate attorneys, tax advisors and insurance professionals.

Michael lives in Manhattan with his wife Patricia and their toy poodle Ross.

Mervin ("Merv") Burton serves as Partner, Research at Beatrice Advisors, leveraging over two decades of experience as a senior portfolio manager at various institutions, including a large foundation, an endowment, a pension fund, and multiple family offices. In his role, he is responsible for delivering active investment research, including asset allocation, manager selection, and risk management. Merv works closely with the client advisory and investment management teams to develop tailored investment strategies that align with each client's unique financial objectives and values.

Merv began his career as a Financial Analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. before transitioning to Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM. He then joined IBM Retirement Funds as a Senior Investment Manager, where he held several positions including head of Public Equity and Hedge Funds, as well as serving on the Strategy team. Following his tenure at IBM, Merv became the Investment Director at Lafayette College, where he also served as Interim Chief Investment Officer. Most recently, he held the position of Managing Director at Carnegie Corporation, overseeing a $4bn+ endowment portfolio.

Throughout his career, Merv has been actively involved in various boards. In 2015, he helped establish Atmosphere Academy, a charter school in the Bronx, NY.  He has served as an advisor to large investment organizations, and currently serves on the advisory board for a single-family office based in Texas/New York.

Merv holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Merv is an avid runner as has completed multiple marathons.

Peter is a Partner of Beatrice Advisors, bringing over thirty years of sophisticated investment experience across all asset classes. As a strategic member of the Executive Management Team and Investment Committee, he collaborates with founder Christina Lewis to define organizational objectives and works closely with Meredith Bowen, President & CIO, on investments and operational strategies.  Peter's role extends to augmenting business development and overseeing client engagement in aligning values with market return.

Prior to Beatrice, Peter launched and managed Lupoff/Stevens Family Office, his family's vehicle for investment, impact, and grant-making, which was subsequently folded into Beatrice. He has an extensive academic career, teaching hedge fund strategies and impact investing at Yale School of Management, impact investing at Fordham University (where he remains a Gabelli Fellow), and presently teaching impact investing at University of California Haas School of Business.

Peter spent much of his investment career with legendary investors, as a partner of Marty Whitman, at Third Avenue Funds and as a portfolio manager for Izzy Englander’s Millennium Management. In 2009, he launched Tiburon Capital Management, operating as its CEO, CIO and PM until acquired by a pension consultant, taking the role then, of Chief Investment Officer of the $12 bn acquiror.

As a member of the Impact Investing & Sustainability Faculty Consortium, Peter has dedicated significant time to responsible business practices. His commitment to social impact led him to serve as CEO of Net Impact for three years, a non-profit organization mission-driven to inspire and equip emerging leaders to create a more just and sustainable planet. In recognition of his contributions, the Sorenson Impact Institute nominated and selected him as a Sorenson Global Impact Leader in 2023.

Peter lives in Brooklyn with his wife and awful cats; their son, a frequent visitor from college.

Deidra is the Family Office Manager at Beatrice Advisors, bringing over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, family offices, and management to her role. At Beatrice, she expertly manages high-level operational and administrative functions. She oversees meticulous calendar management, coordinates internal and external communications, and ensures smooth office logistics.

Deidra began her career at J.P. Morgan in their European Corporate Banking department, where she served as an executive assistant to top international executives. She then joined TLC Group, working directly with the late financier Reginald F. Lewis during his historic billion-dollar acquisition of Beatrice International Foods. Deidra played a crucial role in establishing The Reginald F. Lewis Foundation, which has granted over $30 million to children’s education and community improvement causes.

Demonstrating her versatility and entrepreneurial spirit, Deidra later founded a daycare focused on preparing children for school. She subsequently joined a private rheumatology practice as their office manager, overseeing critical operations and record-keeping.

Deidra is pleased to be working alongside the Lewis family again with Reginald's daughter Christina Lewis, the founder of Beatrice Advisors. A lifelong New Yorker, Deidra resides in the city with her husband and two children. True to her roots, she is an avid Broadway enthusiast.

Gregory is an Investment Analyst at Beatrice Advisors. As a member of the Investment Team, he is responsible for designing and implementing investment strategies that are tailored to clients' financial goals and risk tolerance. He conducts preliminary due diligence on all alternative investment opportunities. He oversees the Beatrice Advisors internship program, providing a comprehensive curriculum on financial markets, asset allocation, and portfolio construction to current college students.

Prior to joining Beatrice Advisors, Gregory was a member of the Jefferies Capital Intelligence team and worked closely with Capital Introductions to leverage manager and allocator relationships and generate real-time industry insights. He authored reports, including "The Value Proposition of Hedge Funds" and "Investing in Change," which dive into the intricacies of hedge fund performance and the growing interest in corporate governance reforms in Japan.

Gregory graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Economics from CUNY Hunter College and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He is a Leon Cooperman Fellow and former Centerbridge Partners Fellow. He holds Series 7 and 63 certifications. He also serves as a member of the New Heights Emerging Leader Council.

Gregory enjoys staying active and exploring the culinary scene of New York City.

Noelle is the Marketing and Business Development Manager at Beatrice Advisors, where she focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing client relations, and contributing to the firm's overall growth. In her role, she has successfully created a robust social media marketing strategy, produced various marketing materials, and established an effective lead management system.

Noelle began her career at Nuveen, where she developed innovative marketing strategies that reduced ad spend and improved automation processes. She then moved to Kayne Anderson Rudnick, where she supervised digital marketing performance and led email marketing initiatives. Her journey continued at Mazars, where she managed client leads, co-led a thought leadership strategy, and supported numerous events that significantly contributed to revenue growth.

Noelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California Santa Barbara. She has a Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification and a Seismic Administration Certification.

Recently relocating to New York City from Southern California, Noelle brings a fresh perspective and extensive experience to her role at Beatrice.
